What Happened to November?

Doesn't it seem like we lose November each year? Going right from Halloween and jumping in Christmas. Where did November go? When did we decide to stop caring about November?

We asked around...and for the most part everyone said that the reason they go from Halloween to Christmas is because Thanksgiving decorations are boring.

Well, well, well...we think it's high time we put November back on the calendar. So for all of you out there that say there aren't enough decor ideas for Thanksgiving...try these on for size.

Creative Cornucopias

A cornucopia is a must have item during the month of November. You can fill them with just about anything.  The best part about making a cornucopia is that everything you need to make it look amazing can be found at your local craft store. One stop shopping for a huge wow factor during the month of November. How can you go wrong? You can't.

Amazing TableScapes

Fall themed tablescapes are not only gorgeous, but warm and inviting. And the colors during fall are some of the best colors around. A tablescape designed using the warm rich tones of fall just scream, "Please...come in and sit awhile". Long runners, garlands and candles are all you really need to take your ordinary dining table from just alright to outta sight!

Marvelous Mantles

Talk about warm and cozy...fall is definitely the time to snuggle up next to a fire. Why not have a mantel that makes your guests stop and take notice? Grape vine, twigs, wheat, flowers, pumpkins...you name it. Get creative. And really, let's be honest...whoever said less is more, probably didn't have a marvelous fireplace mantel for the fall.

So come on everybody...
if we all do it together, we can bring November back!

The Spirit of Giving

This is the time of year when we all start to think about what we are truly thankful for. Something about the holiday season makes us take a look at our lives and we begin to appreciate everything we have. We also begin to realize how lucky we are and then consider those that may not be that lucky.

The holidays bring out the giver in all of us.
Why not give back, if we can? And what better time than this time of year?

It seems like only yesterday when we posted our first blog for the world to see...but it was actually 1 year ago. Can you believe it?

We were excited to have an outlet to keep our patients, their families and their friends up to date on all of the new and amazing things happening at Lenz Orthodontics. And we think our Blog and our FaceBook Page have been great at doing what we were trying to achieve.

But as Sue Ellen reminds us..."Times, they are a changin'." That said, Lenz Orthodontics now has an Instagram Account! Follow Us to see awesome photos of our patients and all of the fun activities that we do around the office and throughout our community. And who knows...maybe there may even be exciting contests coming your way very soon!

Affording Braces...No Money Tree Needed

Photo Provided by kidshealth.org

Quality orthodontic care is about more than just aesthetics, a mouth that is crowded or contains crooked teeth can hamper your overall dental health. And let’s face it…most people aren’t born with straight teeth and a perfect bite.

Braces can correct moderately to severely crooked teeth, as well as underbites and overbites. Having crowded or crooked teeth can inhibit good brushing and flossing, making it harder to keep teeth and gums healthy. Furthermore, severe overbites or underbites left uncorrected can cause jaw pain. Proper orthodontic treatment can prevent you and/or your child from experiencing mouth pain or discomfort later in life, not to mention, promote better self-confidence.

Some people hesitate to get braces because paying for them can be surprisingly difficult.  For most families, paying for braces can be a significant investment. That investment can become even larger when multiple family members need braces. At Lenz Orthodontics our goal is to provide you and your family with affordable, high-quality orthodontic treatment that fits your budget. That's why we offer competitive pricing with a variety of payment options, including a no-down-payment option, interest-free monthly payment plans, credit card payments and outside financing.

The cost of orthodontic treatment varies depending on the length and complexity of your treatment.  But with some smart planning and budgeting the cost for orthodontic treatment will be easier to manage.

Get Covered - If you don’t have dental insurance, look into plans that include orthodontics. A good resource to help you get started is www.deltadental.com.

Know Your Insurance Policy - If you have health insurance, it may include dental treatment, and possibly, orthodontic treatment. So contact your insurance company to check your benefits.

Establish a Payment Plan - Most orthodontists offer monthly payment plans extended over the time of treatment with no interest or other charges.

Consider Credit – In many cases, the fee for orthodontic treatment can be paid via Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.

While braces can be a significant investment, understanding the various payment options available can help families to finance orthodontic treatment while looking forward to a bright future with a beautiful smile.
