Invisible Braces...No Magician Needed

If you're like most adults, you probably had braces when you were in High School. But as you have aged, your teeth have started to shift a little and your smile may not be as perfect as it once was. Maybe you look at yourself in the mirror and think...not the best smile, but I don't want to go through braces again, so my smile is what it is now and that will have to do.

Well guess what? You can get that perfect smile back in just a few months and no one will know your wearing braces.

It's true...If you're an adult and all you need is a little cosmetic improvement for a great smile and you'd prefer not to have braces, the nearly invisible Simpli5 no-braces system may be the treatment for you. A quick evaluation by Dr. Lenz will tell if you are a candidate for this convenient treatment.

We know that many adults are eager to achieve a beautiful smile without wearing braces and that's why the Simpli5 system is so great! Simpli5 is an express aligner system that corrects the minor imperfections in your smile in about 5-6 months. You'll wear a series of five invisible aligners per arch that are programmed with incremental correction to move the teeth to their desired position.

Simpli5 is the solution for adults who have experienced minor crowding or spacing issues.

*  Most cases are completed in 5 months.
*  Wear each aligner for 3-4 weeks.
*  Confidently work, exercise and socialize while wearing your aligners.

The big advantage with Simpli5 is cost. Because treatment is limited to only 5 aligners, the cost of treatment, assuming you are suitable, will be significantly less than with other clear aligner systems on the market today.

If you want straighter teeth but are concerned about how you'll look in braces...talk to us about Simpli5!

Fourteen is the New Seven

It seems like braces and teenagers go together like peanut butter and jelly. But did you know that children should really be seen by an Orthodontist as early as age seven for an evaluation?

We know...seven sounds crazy and way too early to be thinking about braces. However, early diagnosis and treatment by Dr. Lenz can help guide facial development and tooth eruption, thereby preventing more serious problems from occurring later in your child's life. And treating children during these early growth stages allows Dr. Lenz to achieve results that may not be possible once facial bones have fully developed.

Did you know that your first visit to Lenz Orthodontics is free of charge? So it wouldn't hurt to give us a call to schedule an initial evaluation for your child.

A check-up may reveal that your child’s bite is fine. Or it may determine that early treatment is indicated to prevent or intercept more serious problems from developing as Dr. Lenz can detect subtle problems with jaw growth and emerging teeth while some baby teeth are still present. While your child’s teeth may appear to be straight, there could be a problem that only Dr. Lenz can detect.

Through an early orthodontic evaluation, you will be giving your child the best opportunity for a beautiful, healthy smile.

Now...don't worry if your child is older than seven...it's not too late for a check-up, especially if you or your family dentist notice a problem.

All patients differ in both physiological development and treatment needs, at Lenz Orthodontics, our goal is to provide each patient with the most appropriate treatment at the most appropriate time.

Cheese Doodle Day...It's a Real Thing

We would never joke about something as serious as
National Cheese Doodle Day

It's Un-Official!
Today is the day we give thanks to the cheddar cheese coated crunchy snack food that many of us have loved for years.

Cheese doodles are made with cornmeal that has been puffed, baked and coated with cheddar cheese. Morrie Yohai invented the cheese doodle in 1940's when he took over his families snack food business after returning home from World War II. Then...in the '60's a company called Wise Foods acquired Yohai's business and the cheese doodle became part of their potato chip division.

Today, cheese doodles are one of Wise's strongest brands and the company produces over 15 million pounds of cheese doodles each year!

A few things you should know about the Cheese Doodle...
  • "Cheese Doodle Fingers" is the official term used when describing the cheesy orange residue left on your fingers after snaking.
  • Cheese Doodles are said to be one of the only packaged snack foods preferred by Julia Child.
  • Cheese Doodles have their own FaceBook page with over 8,000 fans.
  • The Wise Company currently sells 7 different flavors of Cheese Doodles, including Honey BBQ and Hot 'n Honey.
  • Cheetos cheese snacks became a hit in the '50's and many would argue the Doodle is not a copy, but a superior cheesy snack.
Celebrate National Cheese Doodle Day the right way...
try these Mac & Cheese bites tonight!
